PM Modi extended his condolences after at least nine people died and many others were injured in a major explosion at Vedanta Power Plant in Chhattisgarh's Sakti. "An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to next of kin of each deceased...The injured would be given ₹50,000," he said. May the injured recover at the earliest, he added.
