Addressing a rally in Kerala, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said people of Kerala are clever and educated. "PM Modiji, Vijayan, you both can fool people who are illiterate in Gujarat or other places...but you cannot fool the people of Kerala,” he added. BJP criticised Kharge's remarks and said, "Kharge is carrying forward Congress’s legacy of elitist arrogance and regional prejudice."
