Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated 13-km-long, two-lane Kollam bypass on National Highway 66 in Kerala. With a project cost of ₹352 crore, the bypass will cut the travel time between Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram districts of the state. The bypass has three major bridges over the Ashtamudi Lake, with a total length of 1,540 metres.
