PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the deaths caused in a building collapse in Maharashtra's Thane district and announced an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased. "My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief," PM Modi added. He also announced financial assistance of ₹50,000 for each injured person.
