During an event in Assam on Friday, PM Narendra Modi released the 22nd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme, disbursing over ₹18,640 crore to 9.32 crore farmers across the country. Under the scheme, eligible farmers would receive ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts. Since the scheme’s launch, over ₹4.09 lakh crore has already been directly credited to eligible farmers’ bank accounts.
