The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has identified 38 hotspots in the region where Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s (MSEDCL) electric poles disrupt traffic and has allocated ₹50 crore for removal of obstructive poles. Additional commissioner of police Manoj Patil has directed the civic body to prioritise the removal of all electric poles.
