PMC is planning to expand and upgrade its stormwater network because rainfall intensity exceeds the design capacity of existing pipelines. Jagdish Khanore, chief superintendent engineer, drainage department, PMC, said PMC is working on long-term plan to install new stormwater lines across city, especially in 23 villages recently merged with PMC where infrastructure can be designed afresh.
