PMC plans to develop 100 kms of pedestrian-friendly roads in Pune

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) plans to develop 100 kilometres of pedestrian-friendly roads in the city. The decision was taken after Pune was announced as one of the 11 cities selected as the winners of the 'Streets for People Challenge' for their pilot projects to make roads more pedestrian-friendly. The Centre will give the winning cities ₹50 lakh each.
