The PMPML collected over ₹21 lakh in fines in May and June 2025 from ticketless travellers and employees. Around ₹12.89 lakh was recovered from 2,578 passengers for travelling without tickets. Deepa Mudhol Munde, CMD of PMPML, stated that reports from ticket-checking staff led to ₹8.44 lakh in fines on employees during the same period.
