POCSO Court sentences man to death for Jamnagar girl's murder

A POCSO Court in Gujarat sentenced Nitin Dosaji Manek to death for the 2025 murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jamnagar's Sikka village. The child was tortured with matchsticks and an iron pestle before being killed. The court also awarded life imprisonment under POCSO Act and ₹50,000 fine, calling it 'rarest of rare'.
