According to Section 179 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the police are barred from calling women, senior citizens over 60 years, male children under 15 years, and mentally or physically disabled persons to the police station. The person can only be allowed if he or she volunteers to come to the station, told Advocate Deepak Somani.
