Mohali police have suspended sub-inspector Balwinder Singh for shooting at a man's thigh during a scuffle on Haibatpur Road, Dera Bassi, on Sunday night. An SIT was constituted to investigate the incident. The victim claimed that the SI was under the influence of alcohol and was harassing his sister, and opened fire when he and his friends opposed his behaviour.
