The Delhi High Court asked police and civil administration to maintain peace and ensure a secure environment ahead of Eid in Uttam Nagar amid tensions in the area. The court stated that police arrangements will remain till Ram Navami. Tensions erupted after a person was killed as violence started after a water balloon thrown by a girl splashed another woman.
