The father of Anjel Chakma, a student from Tripura who died in Dehradun in a racially-charged attack, alleged that police initially refused to register a report and only filed an FIR two to three days later. Chakma died on Friday after fighting for his life for 17 days in the hospital. The attackers called Chakma "Chinese momo" before attacking him.
