The J&K Police has released first statement on the massive blast at a police station in Srinagar, calling the explosion "accidental". "Any other speculation into the cause of this incident is unnecessary," J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat said. He confirmed that explosives seized from Faridabad were behind the explosion, adding, "The cause of this unfortunate incident is being inquired into."
