Additional SP Narayan Baramani, who resigned after he was nearly slapped by Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah at a rally, returned to work after talking with CM, Home Minister G Parameshwara, and senior police officers. Parameshwara promised him a "good posting" and called his resignation letter a "spur of the moment reaction". CM had no intention of insulting (the officer), he said.
