Political commentator who made derogatory remarks on women protesters gets bail in 1 day

Right-wing commentator TG Mohandas, arrested on Sunday for his derogatory comments about women protesters, was granted bail by a Thiruvananthapuram court on Monday. He had said women protesters "enjoy being raped" and that he would have ordered police to open fire on protesters at Jantar Mantar. Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar called his "midnight arrest" Congress's "political vendetta".
