The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has released its State of Human Rights in 2024 report, which highlighted rising political repression and violence in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Balochistan. The report cited mass protests in PoK over inflation and enforced disappearances in Balochistan as the reason. The report also drew attention to surge in violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
