New Year's day witnessed a "marked" decrease in pollution levels when compared to the corresponding day, the previous year, the Delhi government claimed on Saturday. Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 levels reportedly ranged between 121-226 this year. They hovered around 250 last year. However, pollution levels reportedly rose evening onwards, according to Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) data.
