Adar Poonawalla's Serum Institute of India (SII) refused a billion-dollar agreement with a clutch of global investors in October 2020 at the last minute, a report said. The offer was made by firms like TPG Capital, Abu Dhabi's ADQ, and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The Poonawalla family-owned SII reportedly turned down the deal following differences over the valuation.
