Poor sleep may do more than make you tired, it can harm your brain. Neurologist Dr Vikram Huded says deep sleep helps the brain repair itself, clear waste and strengthen memory. Long-term poor sleep may raise the risk of stroke, dementia, depression and anxiety. Warning signs include brain fog, daytime sleepiness, headaches and frequent waking.
