Pope Leo XIV discharged after lung cancer surgery

Pope Leo XIV, 71, will leave Rome's Gemelli hospital Saturday after doctors deemed him fit for discharge following surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his right lung. He underwent the procedure Tuesday. Pope will return to the Vatican and deliver the Angelus prayer Sunday. His South America trip planned for November remains uncertain.
