A team of international scientists has found a carbon-rich slice of primitive material inside a meteorite. The material bears some similarities to extraterrestrial dust particles thought to have originated in comets that formed near the solar system's outer edges, the team said. Commenting on its first electron images, a scientist said, "I knew we were looking at something very rare."
