The UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet said that the ongoing "indiscriminate" attacks in and around the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh could amount to "war crimes". Calling on Azerbaijan and Armenia to halt attacks, she said those responsible for carrying them out, or ordering them, must be held to account. The fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces erupted in September.
