Two officers of the Indian Army were honored posthumously, with the prestigious Ashok Chakra award on Monday. Families of slain army officers Major Mukund Varadarajan and Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh, accepted the honor from President Pranab Mukherjee during the 66th Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. Both army men had been martyred while combating militants in Kashmir last year.
