Multiple social media posts claiming India has secured a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council with veto power are false, PTI Fact Check Desk found. India is yet to become a permanent member of the UNSC. As of now, five countries, including China, France, Russia, the UK and the US are permanent UNSC members and have veto power.
