'Post-truth' named 'Word of the Year' by Oxford Dictionaries

The term 'post-truth' has been chosen as the 'Word of the Year 2016' by Oxford Dictionaries, after the word's usage increased following Brexit and the United States presidential election. The adjective is defined as "relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief".
