Potential 100-hectare gold deposits have been discovered in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district. A team of Department of Geology and Mineral Resources conducted soil testing and detected substantial traces of gold, copper and other precious metals in the area. As per the preliminary estimates, the reserves could run into lakhs of tonnes.
