A coronal mass ejection (CME) blasted from the Sun hit Europe's Solar Orbiter (SolO) spacecraft at a speed of nearly 55 lakh km per hour. The CME hit the spacecraft 32 hours after it left the Sun. If the CME had hit Earth's atmosphere, a strong geomagnetic storm would have surely resulted, Space Weather reported.
