Punjab Kings (PBKS) wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh has credited former India opener Shikhar Dhawan for reviving the former's IPL career during the 2023 season. Reflecting on his IPL revival in an interview with Crictracker, Prabhsimran stated: "When Shikhar [Dhawan] paaji was appointed as the captain two years ago, he gave me the surety that I will play all the games."
