Fashion brand Prada has expressed its intention to launch Kolhapuri-inspired collection in partnership with local artisans, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture said. This comes after it faced backlash for featuring Kolhapuri chappal worth ₹1 lakh in its collection without crediting India. A team will visit India next week to identify local supply chain partners for it.
