Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has announced the party has appointed Pramod Tiwari as its Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha (RS) and Rajani Patil as a whip of the party. Notably, Tiwari was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2013 and 2022 and has been an ex-cabinet minister in the UP government. Patil is a two-time MP in Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra.
