Special prayers were held at the Kanchi Sri Maha Periyava temple in Tamil Nadu's Madurai for those on board Air India's AI-171 flight that crashed in Ahmedabad around 2 pm on Thursday. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft carried 230 passengers and 12 crew members. While one passenger survived the crash, there are no official reports of any other survivor.
