A forest officer has said that the pregnant elephant that died in Kerala's Palakkad district had consumed a coconut stuffed with firecrackers. Earlier, it was alleged that the elephant ate firecracker-filled pineapple which exploded in its mouth. This comes after the police arrested a rubber tapper in connection with the case.
