President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday inaugurated the St Joseph's University in Bengaluru in the presence of Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai. The President said, "With a modest beginning as a college in 1882, today that college has emerged as a leading institution." Notably, the institution was granted university status in July under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
