Uttar Pradesh's Mughal Sarai Junction has officially been renamed as Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, after President Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the state government's proposal. The renaming was earlier approved by the Railways Ministry after the state cleared it in 2017. Notably, BJP idealogue Upadhyaya was found dead under mysterious circumstances near the railway station in 1968.
