President Droupadi Murmu said she was "deeply pained by the tragic fire in North Goa" and extended her condolences to the victims' families. "May they (families) find strength during this difficult time. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured," she said. At least 25 people were killed after fire broke out at a restaurant-cum-club in Arpora on Sunday.
