Speaking on the energy crisis sparked by the US-Iran war, PM Narendra Modi said that the price of a domestic LPG cylinder could have soared to ₹2000. He said that market experts had also predicted the same. "Yet, even now, a domestic LPG cylinder is being provided for less than ₹950," he added, revealing that India leveraged its refinery capabilities.
