Price of PVC flex banners will increase as central government has increased basic custom duty (BCD) on them from 10% to 25%. "PVC flex banners are non-biodegradable and hazardous for environment and health. To curb their imports, I propose to raise the BCD," Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while presenting Budget. Notably, flex banners are also used by political parties.
