Priya Sachdev Kapur, wife of the late Chairman of Sona Comstar Sunjay Kapur, has been appointed as the Non-executive Director of the company with 99.44% votes in her favour. This comes amid a family dispute over the control of the ₹30,000-crore business. Sunjay's mother, Rani Kapur claims that she is the majority shareholder of the firm, while contesting Priya's appointment.
