IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, while speaking with Lallantop's Saurabh Dwivedi, said manufacturing semiconductor chips is like preparing Rajasthani-style 'gatte ki sabzi'. While preparing it, a long strip is cut into tiny cubes, similar to how a long silicon ingot is sliced finely into wafers, Vaishnaw said. A circuit is then printed on wafers, from which chips are born, he added.
