Kamathipura residents staged a protest against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' for the alleged "defamatory" and "shameful" portrayal of the area on Sunday. "The residents have worked hard to erase the social stigma...and this movie is extremely damaging to the current and future generations of Kamathipura," the statement read. The film stars Alia Bhatt in the lead.
