The local lawyers' association launched a 24-hour bandh in Odisha's Balangir district on Monday to demand the establishment of a permanent High Court bench in the district. Shops and establishments remained closed, while 13 trains were cancelled and ten others were short-terminated. Meanwhile, a 48-hour bandh was observed in western Odisha earlier.
