Massive protests erupted in Bangladesh's Dhaka after minority leaders condemned the arrest of Hindu man Haridas Chandra Tarani Das on money laundering charges. They alleged Das was targeted for initiating the construction of an 81-foot Lord Ram statue in Palashbari. The incident comes after protests by Hindu community over the alleged desecration of an image of Lord Ram in Gaibandha.
