People across Lebanon held demonstrations on Thursday to protest against the ongoing economic turmoil in the country. Lebanese truck and bus drivers, among others, began blocking several highways and roads in cities including Beirut and Tripoli from 5 am. Lebanon is reeling under severe inflation due to its currency plummeting, which has lost over 90% of its value since 2019.
