Employees of public sector banks Wednesday went on a nationwide strike asking for wage revision, affecting banking services such as cheque clearance and withdrawal from branches across the country. While employees demand a 23% wage hike, the Indian Banks's Association stuck to its earlier offer of 11%. This led to the employees calling for a "complete and total" strike.
