PSU banks sell dollars on RBI's ⁠behalf to support rupee: Report

The RBI likely intervened in the foreign exchange market on Friday, with state-run banks selling dollars on its behalf to support the rupee, Reuters reported. The rupee was trading at 96.70 against US dollar, above the all-time low of 96.96 touched in May. The move came as Brent crude climbed above $100 per barrel amid escalating Middle East tensions.
