Pune Municipal Corporation has planned to demolish six sewage treatment plants (STPs), PMC electrical department head Shrinivas Kandul said. STPs at Erandwane, Vitthalwadi, Naidu Hospital, Bhairoba Nullah, Bopodi and Tanajiwadi will be demolished, he added. "As the technology upgradation cost...is high...consultant has proposed to demolish six of the nine STPs and set up new ones," Kandul stated.
