The Maharashtra government, in partnership with the Centre, has approved the construction of third and fourth railway tracks on the Pune-Lonavala section. Serving nearly 2 lakh passengers daily, this congested stretch will now see improved connectivity, reduced delays, and more train services. The decision was announced by CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Muralidhar Mohol.
