A Pune man, Abhishek Shelar, who is an alumnus of Harvard and IIT Bombay has developed a garbage collecting machine, Jatayu, that prevents human contact during garbage collection. Shelar said, "Jatayu is a result of two years of research...We have the capacity to produce 100 machines a month and this machine can plug the loopholes in India's fight against garbage."
